Current research interests

I am interested in model building to describe electrodynamic phenomena in low-dimensional systems.

In this context, my researches are related to the study of electrodynamics and of quantum dynamics on topological defects and domain walls.

This relies on various theoretical tools, which imply analytical but also numerical investigations.

My works find applications in the study of surface polaritons in nanostructured devices or in the study of optical phenomena in biological systems,

but surprisingly they also present an impact in brane phenomenology usually related to high energy physics.
